Abstract:
Especially in the production of higher-quality steel grades, the vacuum treatment of liquid steel takes a prominent position among secondary metallurgy processes due to its versatile nature. To produce the necessary high vacuum, pump systems comprising steam-ejector vacuum pumps or mechanical vacuum pumps are used in modern, efficient secondary metallurgy plants for the vacuum treatment of steel. This article deals with the application of a condition monitoring system for a vacuum system of steamejector type.
